Unity Day Dinner is coming on Feb. 10, 2008! RSVP today!

Welcome to the 6th AD Democrats' Club (6th AD Club) web site!

Our Location

California's 6th Assembly District (6th AD) lies on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge and covers all of Marin and Southern Sonoma counties (map).

Our Charter

The 6th AD Club is chartered directly by the California Democratic Party (CDP) and is recognized as the only official Democratic club for California's 6th Assembly District.

Voter Registration of the 6th Assembly District (as of 2/2007)

Political makeup and population of the 6th Assembly District (as of 9/2001)

Working With Our Local County Central Committees

The geography of the 6th AD covers both Marin and Sonoma counties and each county has their own Central Committee (also chartered by the CDP). Because of the partial or complete overlap, we work closely with both of these groups: Democratic Central Committee of Marin (DCCM) and  Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee (SCDCC). Many of our club members are also active participants and/or members of their county central committees.

Delegates from the 6th AD

Regionally, the 6th AD  is currently allocated 12 positions on the Democratic State Central Committee. These DSCC members ("Delegates") are elected for 2 year terms. Any registered Democrat living in the 6th AD may run and/or vote in the election. The CDP typically requires a nominal fee of $5 to offset the cost of these elections and a hardship waiver is available. These elections are separate from, but administered by, the 6th AD club on behalf of the CDP. Most of the elected Delegates from the 6th AD are also members of the 6th AD Club, but it is not a requirement. The next election will be in January 2009.
